The investigated data sets are: a) fluctuation in the chemical analysis data of a rock drilled core, which are correlated to the Milankovitch-cycles, b) data of the marine ecosystem at Peru's coast and c) local weather data of a German city, which have been predicted using only large scale global weather data over Europe. In order to perform these investigations the computer program "Data-Stream-Network" was developed, which is also discussed. All important time-series analysis methods are integrated within, allowing to connect them into large modules easily generated with the help of a graphical editor | ||

The underlying dynamical systems were either unknown or too complex to model directly. Instead of this the data stocks are investigated with statistical methods. Neural networks of type "Radial-Basis-Function-System" were used to approximate the dynamics and to predict the future. The investigated data sets are: a) fluctuation in the chemical analysis data of a rock drilled core, which are correlated to the Milankovitch-cycles, b) data of the marine ecosystem at Peru's coast and c) local weather data of a German city, which have been predicted using only large scale global weather data over Europe. In order to perform these investigations the computer program "Data-Stream-Network" was developed, which is also discussed. Instead of this the data stocks are investigated with statistical methods. Neural networks of type "Radial-Basis-Function-System" were used to approximate the dynamics and to predict the future. The investigated data sets are: a) fluctuation in the chemical analysis data of a rock drilled core, which are correlated to the Milankovitch-cycles, b) data of the marine ecosystem at Peru's coast and c) local weather data of a German city, which have been predicted using only large scale global weather data over Europe. In order to perform these investigations the computer program "Data-Stream-Network" was developed, which is also discussed. All important time-series analysis methods are integrated within, allowing to connect them into large modules easily generated with the help of a graphical editor Dateiformat: zip, Dateien im PDF-Format |

The underlying dynamical systems were either unknown or too complex to model directly. Instead of this the data stocks are investigated with statistical methods. Neural networks of type "Radial-Basis-Function-System" were used to approximate the dynamics and to predict the future. The investigated data sets are: a) fluctuation in the chemical analysis data of a rock drilled core, which are correlated to the Milankovitch-cycles, b) data of the marine ecosystem at Peru's coast and c) local weather data of a German city, which have been predicted using only large scale global weather data over Europe. In order to perform these investigations the computer program "Data-Stream-Network" was developed, which is also discussed.
