Abstract In accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, the evaluating Member State (EMS), France, received an application from Syngenta Crop Protection AG to set import tolerances for benzovindiflupyr in several crops and in certain animal products. According to EFSA, the data are sufficient to derive maximum residue level (MRL) proposals for the imported crops under consideration, except for cucurbits with inedible peel. For coffee beans and liver of ruminants and horses, different risk management options were derived. Adequate analytical enforcement methods are available to control the residues of benzovindiflupyr in plant and animal origin commodities. Based on the risk assessment results, EFSA concludes that the uses of benzovindiflupyr notified for the products under consideration will not result in a consumer exposure exceeding the toxicological reference values and therefore are unlikely to pose a health risk to consumers.
