Fractionation and characterization of hemicelluloses from young bamboo (Phyllostachys pubescens Mazel) leaves

• Five hemicellulosic polysaccharide fractions were obtained from young bamboo leaves. • The fractions consisted of arabinoxylans, arabinogalactans, and β-d-glucans. • The content of these polysaccharides depended on the separation method.
