Fe-carbon dots enhance the photocatalytic nitrogen fixation activity of TiO2CN heterojunction

• Fe-carbon dots broaden visible light absorption and promoted protonation. • CDs/TiO2CN heterogeneous interface and A/R TiO2 homogeneous interface promoted catalytic activity. • The active centers of Fe bonded with the N in CDs effectively enhanced N2 adsorption and activation.
