The electrodeposition of Au was studied in the presence of the Sb adsorbates. Large catalytic and morphological effects were found. A deposition of Au is shifted by 250 mV to more positive potentials. The nucleation of Au changes from instantaneous in the absence of Sb, into a progressive one in its presence. The catalytic effects of Sb have been explained by its influence on adsorption of CN^--containing species, which suppresses the selfinhibition of this reaction. It has been clearly shown that the adatoms of Sb cannot play a role of nucleation sites, which was proposed earlier as a cause of catalytic effects. No evidence of incorporation of Sb into a deposit was found. Ausführliche Beschreibung
