Observation ofΛ"c^+ decays to Λπ^+π^0, Σ^0π^+, Σ^0π^+π^0, and Σ^0π^-π^+π^+

We have observed the previously unseen decay modes Λπ^+π^0, Σ^0π^+π^0 and Σ^0π^-π^+π^+ of the charmed baryon Λ"c^+, as well as Λ"c^+->Σ^0π^+ observed previously by ARGUS. The branching ratios for these four decay modes relative to Λ"c^+->pK^-π^+ are measured to be 0.73 +/-0.09+/...

We have observed the previously unseen decay modes Λπ^+π^0, Σ^0π^+π^0 and Σ^0π^-π^+π^+ of the charmed baryon Λ"c^+, as well as Λ"c^+->Σ^0π^+ observed previously by ARGUS. The branching ratios for these four decay modes relative to Λ"c^+->pK^-π^+ are measured to be 0.73 +/-0.09+/- 0.16, 0.36 +/-0.09+/-0.10, 0.21+/-0.05+/-0.05, and 0.21+/-0.02 +/-0.04, respectively. Using the recent CLEO measurement of the branching ratio for Λ"c^+->pK^- π^+, these modes account for 6% of Λ"c^+ decays. Ausführliche Beschreibung
