We have investigated activities produced in gold by bombardment with 12- and 20-Mev protons. Gamma rays of 1.17, 0.81, 0.58, and 0.255 Mev energy are found in the Hg fraction from the target bombarded at 20 Mev. These gamma rays all decay with a half-life of 42±3 hours and we ascribe them to Hg195 produced by the Au(p, 3n)Hg reaction.
