We have investigated by numerical methods the temperature stresses in thermistors with a positive temperature coefficient of resistance based on semiconductor barium titanate ceramics under the action of current loads. It has been shown that by changing the form of the ceramic element it is possible to attain an almost 50% decrease in the maximum tensile temperature stresses compared to thermistors of the classical form.
