The possibility of obtaining inorganic block heat-insulating foam materials based on silica and ash-containing technogenic wastes was investigated. The effect of modifying additives and technological regimes on the structure and basic technical properties of foam silicates was determined. It was found on the basis of this work that the optimal weight content of ash waste is equal to 5 – 15%. The obtained foam silicates are characterized by the following physicotechnical properties: density 0.36 – 0.45 g/$ cm^{3} $, compressive strength 2.8 – 5.2 MPa, thermal conductivity 0.089 – 0.106 W/(m · K), and water absorption 14 – 22%.
