Abstract In this work, performance of solar collector will be appraised using FEA technique. Different analyses have been performed to evaluate the performance of solar collector. Fluent based approach has been employed to understand the heat exchanging capability of different materials used in solar collectors. Maximum output temperature can be predicted accurately at different time of the day. Collectors are not usually too thick so the selection of material for the pipe is very important. After obtaining output temperatures, nodal temperatures will be calculated. The purpose of this work is to simulate the performance of solar collector under certain condition, understand the temperature distribution along collector, and analyze the deformation can be obtained at different temperatures.
