520 | |a Roy L. Heller's Narrative Structure and Discourse Constellations has proven to be a useful tool in the hands of the discourse linguist. His work in discourse linguistics has advanced the state of scholarship previously developed Robert E. Longacre and Alviero Niccacci. With specific interest in Heller's work, this paper explores his argument for the form and function of discourse linguistics and its application to biblical Hebrew (BH). To accomplish this task, this paper, first, will provide a summarizing presentation of Heller's working model of discourse linguistics as seen in Narrative Structure and Discourse Constellations. Second, I will take Heller's working model and apply it to the tower of Babel narrative (Gen 11,1-9). Third, stemming from the application of Heller's model, I will enter into a discussion with his discourse linguistic theory to critique its value for those interested in discourse linguistics. | ||

Third, stemming from the application of Heller's model, I will enter into a discussion with his discourse linguistic theory to critique its value for those interested in discourse linguistics. u (DE-588)4811176-4 (DE-627)477602126 (DE-576)216625645 Bibel Genesis 11 gnd u (DE-588)4143847-4 (DE-627)105602671 (DE-576)209729449 Turmbau zu Babel gnd s (DE-588)4012475-7 (DE-627)106348302 (DE-576)208898638 Diskurs gnd s (DE-588)4074250-7 (DE-627)104262966 (DE-576)209193069 Linguistik gnd (DE-627) Enthalten in Scandinavian journal of the Old Testament London [u.a.] : Taylor & Francis, 1987 32(2018), 2, Seite 166-188 Online-Ressource (DE-627)320465330 (DE-600)2007807-9 (DE-576)094107947 1502-7244 nnns volume:32 year:2018 number:2 pages:166-188 https://doi.org/10.1080/09018328.2018.1470844 Resolving-System lizenzpflichtig Volltext GBV_USEFLAG_U GBV_ILN_2019 ISIL_DE-Tue135 ISIL_DE-Tue135-1 SYSFLAG_1 GBV_KXP GBV_ILN_11 GBV_ILN_20 GBV_ILN_22 GBV_ILN_40 GBV_ILN_60 GBV_ILN_62 GBV_ILN_63 GBV_ILN_69 GBV_ILN_70 GBV_ILN_100 GBV_ILN_110 GBV_ILN_151 GBV_ILN_224 GBV_ILN_285 GBV_ILN_370 GBV_ILN_702 GBV_ILN_2001 GBV_ILN_2006 GBV_ILN_2007 GBV_ILN_2009 GBV_ILN_2011 GBV_ILN_2025 GBV_ILN_2026 GBV_ILN_2034 GBV_ILN_2055 GBV_ILN_2111 GBV_ILN_2470 GBV_ILN_2507 GBV_ILN_4012 GBV_ILN_4035 GBV_ILN_4046 GBV_ILN_4112 GBV_ILN_4246 GBV_ILN_4249 GBV_ILN_4305 GBV_ILN_4306 GBV_ILN_4313 GBV_ILN_4393 GBV_ILN_4700 BIIN AR 32 2018 2 166-188 2019 01 DE-Tü135 302935640X 00 --%%-- --%%-- --%%-- n l01 22-10-18 2019 12 DE-Tü135-1 3892069484 00 www --%%-- p --%%-- l01 21-03-21 2019 12 DE-Tü135-1 https://bibsearch.uibk.ac.at/permalink/f/1po5meu/UIB_alma51203037450003333 2019 01 DE-Tü135 00 (DE-627)1442044128 HB |

Roy L. Heller, Discourse Linguistics, and the Tower of Babel (Genesis 11,1-9) |
abstract |
Roy L. |
