520 | |a Object and purpose of research. The paper studies a large offshore base. Brief review of published conceptual project developments of large MOB (mobile offshore base) with runways for landing of transport aircrafts is presented. The work purpose consists in development of a concept of a large island type offshore base that contains a floating supermodule of increased length and has additional technical capabilities in comparison with available conceptual projects. Materials and methods. When developing the base, home constructional materials were intended for use. Check of stressed and strained state of hull structures was performed using procedures of the finite element analysis and calculation methods recommended by Russian Maritime Register of Shipping. Main results. A hull structure of the floating supermodule of 1029 m length, which was a main part of the offshore floating base, was developed and checked by calculation. A fundamental technology was analyzed, and stages of supermodule construction were developed that confirmed an actual possibility to build such a module hull. Conclusion. A concept was proposed and a hull of the offshore island type floating base containing a super large floating module was developed. Owing to this module, the base gets additional technical capabilities that increase its use effectiveness. | ||

Solid hull of offshore floating base for heavy transport aircrafts |
abstract |
Object and purpose of research. |
