The purposes of this research were: 1) to study state and problems of Research Management system in Faculty of Education, Mahasarakham University 2) to present guidelines of system and mechanism development. The sample consisted of 72 teachers who were teaching in Mahasarakham Universities by using purposive sampling. The research tool was questionnaires. The data were analyzed by mean, standard deviation and descriptive statistics analysis. The result found that: 1) The research management of the Faculty of Education, Mahasarakham University from was good according to PDCA cycle. Determining of strategy, policy, plan and objective of research management was clear and correspond with the purposes of research development, educational standard and key quality indicator for short-terms and long-term. Monitoring and evaluation of performance is importance to make the operation as effective as possible and to be able to report on results at the end of the research project (SAR). 2) Developing a research proposal is very important of the guidelines of system and mechanism development to be effective and comprehensive to meet the needs of practitioners. The faculty should promote integrated research, development budget to support research, network coordinating with different field researchers for more coherence in developing research, supporting faculty research with information technology and encourage teachers research. This guideline can help researcher to support the need for research and ensure that research staff have adequate resources to conduct the research.
