Micromorphological features of seed of Begonia L. species (Begoniaceae Putz.)
In this paper seed characteristics of 12 Begonia species belonging to 6 sections were studied with SEM in order to define the diversity seed coat cells shape. Seeds of 9 studied species, which belong to 4 sections of Begonia, showed micromorphological features which are typical for aerochorous Begon...

Micromorphological features of seed of Begonia L. species (Begoniaceae Putz.) |
abstract |
In this paper seed characteristics of 12 Begonia species belonging to 6 sections were studied with SEM in order to define the diversity seed coat cells shape. Seeds of 9 studied species, which belong to 4 sections of Begonia, showed micromorphological features which are typical for aerochorous Begonia species, while B. dregeі showed micromorphological features which are typical for hydrochorus species. It has been revealed that the differences in seed characteristics help to separate the Begonia at species level. |

Seeds of 9 studied species, which belong to 4 sections of Begonia, showed micromorphological features which are typical for aerochorous Begonia species, while B. dregeі showed micromorphological features which are typical for hydrochorus species. It has been revealed that the differences in seed characteristics help to separate the Begonia at species level.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">Begonia</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">seed</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">seed coat</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">micromorphological features</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">operculum</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">collar cells</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Botany</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="773" ind1="0" ind2="8"><subfield code="i">In</subfield><subfield code="t">Інтродукція Рослин</subfield><subfield code="d">NAS of Ukraine, M.M.
