Rhamnolipid Biosurfactants Produced by Pseudomonas Species |
abstract |
ABSTRACT: Surfactants are chemical products widely used in our daily life in toothpaste and other personal hygiene and cosmetic products, and in several industries. Biosurfactants are surfactants of biological origin that can be produced by microorganisms and have many advantages, such as low toxicity and high biodegradability, compared to synthetic counterparts. Unfortunately, high production costs limit the use of biosurfactants. Low-cost production is the most important factor for biosurfactants to be able to compete in the global market place. This review presents general information on rhamnolipid biosurfactant produced by Pseudomonas species, as well as on their production and applications. In addition, industrial products and their wastes used for rhamnolipid production are reviewed in detail based on recent studies. |

In addition, industrial products and their wastes used for rhamnolipid production are reviewed in detail based on recent studies.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">application of rhamnolipid</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">biosurfactant</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">Pseudomonas spp.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">rhamnolipid</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Biotechnology</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="0" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Sulhiye Yildiz</subfield><subfield code="e">verfasserin</subfield><subfield code="4">aut</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="773" ind1="0" ind2="8"><subfield code="i">In</subfield><subfield code="t">Brazilian Archives of Biology and Technology</subfield><subfield code="d">Instituto de Tecnologia do Paraná (Tecpar), 2004</subfield><subfield code="w">(DE-627)372352324</subfield><subfield code="w">(DE-600)2122231-9</subfield><subfield code="x">16784324</subfield><subfield code="7">nnns</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="856" ind1="4" ind2="0"><subfield code="u">https://doi.org/10.1590/1678-4324-2016160786</subfield><subfield code="z">kostenfrei</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="856" ind1="4" ind2="0"><subfield code="u">https://doaj.org/article/764e6480f9744854b5cd881a91f133bb</subfield><subfield code="z">kostenfrei</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="856" ind1="4" ind2="0"><subfield code="u">http://www.scielo.br/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&pid=S1516-89132016000100420&lng=en&tlng=en</subfield><subfield code="z">kostenfrei</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="856" ind1="4" ind2="2"><subfield code="u">https://doaj.org/toc/1678-4324</subfield><subfield code="y">Journal toc</subfield><subfield code="z">kostenfrei</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">GBV_USEFLAG_A</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">SYSFLAG_A</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">GBV_DOAJ</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="951" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">AR</subfield></datafield></record></collection>
