520 | |a Background and aims: The compliance of professional ethics standards is inherent nature of nursing profession, so that ethical principles compliance in nursing practice leads to improve nursing service and its facilities improves satisfaction of care recipients. This study was aimed to determine facilitating factors of professional ethics compliance from the viewpoint of nurses. Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted with partnership of 120 working nurses in Jahrom University of Medical Sciences hospitals and was used census method. Data gathering tool was was a questionnaire made by researcher, including 36 questions to study facilitating factors of professional ethics in management, individual and patients dimensions. The content validity and reliability with α= 0.93 were confirmed. Data analysis was done by SPSS and using descriptive Statistical tests K- square and correlation coefficient. Results: From nurses viewpoint, the most important facilitating factors of ethics, in management dimension, were related to good interpersonal relationship of head nurses with nurses (59.2%), in individual dimension was connected to the critical thinking ability and right decision-making in ethical challenging situations (64.2%) and in patients dimension as well as related to proper behavior of patients with nursing staff (41.7%), So that the ability of critical thinking ability and right decision-making in ethical challenging situations (64.2%) were known as the most important facilitating factors. Conclusion: Based on the study findings, the assistance and promotion of critical thinking and right decision making in ethical challenging situations to nursing staff through teaching and various workshops with a focus on ethical challenges and examples of simulation-based teaching position and also role play of the nurse managers seem necessary. | ||

Background and aims: The compliance of professional ethics standards is inherent nature of nursing profession, so that ethical principles compliance in nursing practice leads to improve nursing service and its facilities improves satisfaction of care recipients. This study was aimed to determine facilitating factors of professional ethics compliance from the viewpoint of nurses. Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted with partnership of 120 working nurses in Jahrom University of Medical Sciences hospitals and was used census method. Data gathering tool was was a questionnaire made by researcher, including 36 questions to study facilitating factors of professional ethics in management, individual and patients dimensions. The content validity and reliability with α= 0.93 were confirmed. Data analysis was done by SPSS and using descriptive Statistical tests K- square and correlation coefficient. Results: From nurses viewpoint, the most important facilitating factors of ethics, in management dimension, were related to good interpersonal relationship of head nurses with nurses (59.2%), in individual dimension was connected to the critical thinking ability and right decision-making in ethical challenging situations (64.2%) and in patients dimension as well as related to proper behavior of patients with nursing staff (41.7%), So that the ability of critical thinking ability and right decision-making in ethical challenging situations (64.2%) were known as the most important facilitating factors.
