520 | |a Introduction/Objective. Тo ensure that all patients receive the best possible anesthetic care, it is essential to continuously evaluate our practices and strive for improvement. The objective of this study was to internally assess the anesthesia services provided during the peripartum period. Methods. The Anesthesiology Department of Leskovac General Hospital, Serbia (LGH) aimed to evaluate patient satisfaction with spinal anesthesia (SA) for Cesarean delivery (CD) using a questionnaire consisting of four open-ended questions. Following Institutional Review Board approval, an institutional-based survey was conducted from August 2021 to July 2022. During the study period, 624 (40.6%) of the total 1535 deliveries in LGH were CDs, with 311 (49.8%) of them performed under SA. Of the patients who underwent CD under SA, 87 agreed to anonymously complete the questionnaire. Results. Although patients had sufficient space to provide detailed responses, the majority of participants opted for brief answers, often limited to “yes” or “no”. Of the surveyed participants, 78% were informed about SA for CD before delivery, and 96.6% expressed satisfaction with the information provided during the preoperative anesthesiologist’s visit. Additionally, the majority of participants (94.3%) reported satisfaction with the postoperative analgesia they received. Conclusion. Our patients expressed high levels of satisfaction with the preoperative anesthesiologist’s visit and the SA provided for CD. However, there is a need to improve antenatal education for expectant mothers in the field of anesthesia. Conducting a new and more detailed survey would be necessary to further explore the influence of patient education and socio-economic status on patient satisfaction. | ||

Conducting a new and more detailed survey would be necessary to further explore the influence of patient education and socio-economic status on patient satisfaction. spinal anesthesia cesarean delivery patient satisfaction quality improvement Medicine R Mitić Radomir verfasserin aut Gavrilović Slobodan verfasserin aut Jović Marija verfasserin aut Krušić Slavica verfasserin aut Pujić Borislava verfasserin aut Velicković Ivan verfasserin aut Sadana Neeti verfasserin aut In Srpski Arhiv za Celokupno Lekarstvo Serbian Medical Society, 2010 151(2023), 9-10, Seite 566-571 (DE-627)637421205 (DE-600)2577665-4 24060895 nnns volume:151 year:2023 number:9-10 pages:566-571 https://doi.org/10.2298/SARH230110078P kostenfrei https://doaj.org/article/0d144964daf54920b1c793f40a0a753c kostenfrei https://doiserbia.nb.rs/img/doi/0370-8179/2023/0370-81792300078P.pdf kostenfrei https://doaj.org/toc/0370-8179 Journal toc kostenfrei https://doaj.org/toc/2406-0895 Journal toc kostenfrei GBV_USEFLAG_A SYSFLAG_A GBV_DOAJ GBV_ILN_20 GBV_ILN_22 GBV_ILN_23 GBV_ILN_24 GBV_ILN_31 GBV_ILN_39 GBV_ILN_40 GBV_ILN_60 GBV_ILN_62 GBV_ILN_63 GBV_ILN_65 GBV_ILN_69 GBV_ILN_73 GBV_ILN_74 GBV_ILN_95 GBV_ILN_105 GBV_ILN_110 GBV_ILN_151 GBV_ILN_161 GBV_ILN_170 GBV_ILN_206 GBV_ILN_213 GBV_ILN_230 GBV_ILN_285 GBV_ILN_293 GBV_ILN_602 GBV_ILN_2014 GBV_ILN_4012 GBV_ILN_4037 GBV_ILN_4112 GBV_ILN_4125 GBV_ILN_4126 GBV_ILN_4249 GBV_ILN_4305 GBV_ILN_4306 GBV_ILN_4307 GBV_ILN_4313 GBV_ILN_4322 GBV_ILN_4323 GBV_ILN_4324 GBV_ILN_4325 GBV_ILN_4338 GBV_ILN_4367 GBV_ILN_4700 AR 151 2023 9-10 566-571 |

Evaluation of patient satisfaction with provided spinal anesthesia for Cesarean delivery: A survey in Leskovac General Hospital, Serbia |
abstract |
Introduction/Objective. |
