This Congress, conjoined with the Romanian National Congress of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine & Balneology, is a testimonial to the global acknowledgment of Romania's significant contributions in the field. The editorial welcomes all attendees and highlights the Congress's commitment to fostering scientific advancements that use the therapeutic benefits of natural resources. "Balneo and PRM Research Journal" enriches the academic and scientific foundation of the Congress and serves as a dynamic platform for participants to share their findings, experiences, and visions. By integrating this journal into the Congress framework, we aim to enforce a vibrant community of quest and exchange of ideas where the latest advancements and evidence-based methodologies are accessible to all attendees. Romania's selection as the host of the 47th ISMH World Congress - for the second time - is a profound acknowledgment of its most valuable and renowned medical-related school, rich balneological heritage, and the innovative strides made within the field. The reminiscence of the successful 2016 ISMH Congress in Bucharest underpins our anticipation for the 2024 edition. Romania's abundant natural therapeutic factors and extensive medical infrastructure are fertile ground for balneological research and practice. This year's Congress, concurrently with significant anniversaries in Romanian Balneology, aims to showcase advancements and encourage discourse on many relevant topics, including exploring natural therapeutic factors, their mechanisms of action, and their clinical applications across various medical conditions. A noteworthy aspect of the ISMH Congress scheduled for this year is its significant celebrating context. This Congress is not merely a confluence of global experts in Balneology but also a celebration of remarkable milestones in the rehabilitation and balneological research within Romania, marking it as an event of historical importance. Firstly, the Congress coincides with the National Institute of Rehabilitation, Physical Medicine, and Balneoclimatology Centenary, established in 1924. This institution is the second of its kind founded in Europe, embodying a century of progressive advancements in Rehabilitation Medicine and Balneoclimatology. Its foundation laid the groundwork for developing physical medicine and rehabilitation as a medical specialty, also emphasizing the therapeutic use of natural sanogenic factors for patient care and recovery. The Centenary celebration of this institute at the Congress highlights the enduring legacy and contributions of Romanian Medicine to the field of Rehabilitation, globally. Furthermore, the 47th ISMH Congress will honor 125 years of continuous medical and balneary rehabilitative activity at the Balneal and Rehabilitation Sanatorium of Techirghiol, affectionately known as the "Admiral Ship of Romanian Maritime Balneology." This institution has been pivotal in developing and applying balneological treatments in Romania. It is a testimony to the country's rich tradition and innovation in availing natural therapeutic resources for health and wellness. The Sanatorium of Techirghiol's 125th anniversary underscores the long-standing expertise and commitment to excellence in Balneology, making it an emblematic venue for hosting this
