• CZTS powdered samples were elaborated through solid-state route. • For non-stoichiometric samples (Cu-rich and Cu-poor) we observe a strong composition deviation between the surface and the bulk. • In the case of the Cu-poor sample, same observation has already been reported for thin films. • This behavior (Cu-depletion for Cu-poor samples) is reminiscent of that of CIGSe compounds. |
