Salicylideneimines as efficient dual channel emissive probes for Al3+: Harnessing ESIPT and ICT processes

Highlights • Two salicylideneimine based dual channel emissive probes for Al3+ were developed. • Both the probe shows easily detectable characteristic optical responses with Al3+. • An interesting ESIPT and ICT processes were explored as a key sensing mechanism.
