• Fluidized bed reactor study of coal/CuO-Fe2O3-Aluminia (OC) is reported. • TPR showed increased rates of gasification/combustion of coal in the presence of OC. • Reduced OC promoted the water gas shift reaction in the presence of steam. • Partially reduced OC promoted H2 and CO2 production in the presence of coal/steam. • Increase in steam content negatively affected the chemical looping oxygen uncoupling. |
