• One-dimensional micro/nanorods based on three perylenediimide derivatives (PDIs) bearing different bay-phenoxy-substituted groups were prepared in chloroform/methanol binary solution. • Significant changes in response to hydrazine vapor were found based on these PDIs conductometric sensors composed of single micro/nanostructure. • Discussion for structure-property relationship suggested that alkyl chain and phenoxy groups had significant impact on the performance of PDIs sensing devices by modulating crystalline structure, stacking mode and energy level. |
