Analysis of splice variants for the C. elegans orthologue of human neuroligin reveals a developmentally regulated transcript

• The alternative expression of nlg-1 Δ#14 transcripts is dynamic during development. • Exon 14 in nlg-1 contains a putative polyproline SH3 binding domain in C. elegans. • nlg-1 Δ#14 could play a key role in the assembly of synaptic protein complexes.
