D1- and D2-like dopamine receptors in the CA1 region of the hippocampus are involved in the acquisition and reinstatement of morphine-induced conditioned place preference

• Injection of D1 and D2 antagonists in CA1 decreased acquisition of morphine CPP. • Blockade of D1 and D2 receptors in CA1 attenuated reinstatement of morphine CPP. • Role of D2 receptor on morphine reinstatement was more significant than D1 receptor.
