Association between exposure to dioxin-like polychlorinated biphenyls and miR-191 expression in human peripheral blood mononuclear cells

Highlights • MiR-191 expression, under pollution pressure, has been detected in PBMCs. • A positive relationship, in vivo, was found between levels of PCBs and miR-191. • Results suggest that miR-191 could be a potential biomarker for PCBs.
