• Based on a nationally representative sample, we estimated the incidence of GBS during the pandemic period. • GBS incidence rate during influenza pandemic period was not significantly higher than the reference period (rate ratio: 1.52; 0.99–2.32). • Rate of GBS increased after pH1N1 vaccination than reference period (rate ratio: 1.46, 1.26–1.68). • Mass influenza vaccination programs should not be precluded on the basis of GBS. |
