Study of the late nitrogen-sequence Galactic Wolf–Rayet star WR156. Spectropolarimetry and modeling
• Galactic Wolf–Rayet star WR156 is studied spectropolarimetrically for the first time. • We measured the polarization and position angle and did not found any line effect. • The polarization detected by us is of interstellar origin. • We modelled the wind of WR156 and derived the parameters of its...

Study of the late nitrogen-sequence Galactic Wolf–Rayet star WR156. Spectropolarimetry and modeling |
abstract |
• Galactic Wolf–Rayet star WR156 is studied spectropolarimetrically for the first time. • We measured the polarization and position angle and did not found any line effect. • The polarization detected by us is of interstellar origin. • We modelled the wind of WR156 and derived the parameters of its atmosphere. • As a result, WR156 is the richest hydrogen Wolf–Rayet star of WN8 type in the Galaxy. |
