Non-texture image inpainting using histogram of oriented gradients
• We developed a fast approach for image inpainting using histogram of oriented gradients. • We found that texts and scratches can be inpainted from an image in less than a second. • It is possible to recover lost blocks of a transmitted image using non-texture inpainting approaches.
