abstract |
• LdPP2C is a monomer and most of the catalytic signature motif residues were identical to human PP2C. • LdPP2C dephosphorylates the substrate pNPP only in presence of Mn2+ and Mg2+. • Sanguinarine inhibits the enzymatic activity of LdPP2C non-competitively with respect to pNPP. • Aspartic acid is a key residue to coordinate the metal ions in LdPP2C. • LdPP2C triggers pro-inflammatory environment in macrophages by TNF-α, IL-6 and NO generation. |
