Maternal dietary supplementation of arginine increases the ratio of total cloned piglets born to total transferred cloned embryos by improving the pregnancy rate of recipient sows

• Arginine addition increases plasma arginine concentration of recipient sows. • Arginine addition increases pregnancy rate of recipients gestating cloned pig embryos. • Arginine addition does not affect birth weight and placenta indexes of cloned piglets.
