Partial discharge detection using PLC receivers in MV cables: A theoretical framework
• The proposed techniques exploit broadband PLC signals to detect partial discharges in cables. • PLC modems (OPERA or IEEE 1901) can be used as partial discharges detectors. • A simple firmware modification is enough to add this new functionality to already installed modems.
