Assessment of the global pattern of genetic diversity in <ce:italic>Echinococcus multilocularis</ce:italic> inferred by mitochondrial DNA sequences

• Fst indicated E. multilocularis were genetically differentiated among endemic foci. • Some Mongolian and Eastern Tibetan haplotypes were located far from Asian clade. • Cladistic tree indicated European clade has a sister relationship with Asian clade.
