• Erosive OLP is chronic mucocutaneous disorder. • Few patients are refractory to available therapies, even corticosteroids, and report remarkable side effects. • Advent of photodynamic therapy (PDT) has proved it to be effective and safe alternative treatment of abnormal or neoplastic cells. • We evaluated the effectiveness of PDT in treatment of ten refractory cases of symptomatic erosive LP. • The main rationale was to investigate the clinical response and to monitor the advantages and disadvantages of its use on a recall basis. |
