• The corrosion behaviors of PCL-gelatin composite coatings were significantly higher than that of AISI 316L SS. • The AISI 316L SS was modified as a biocompatible substrate for inhibition of ion release in simulated body fluid. • SEM results show a uniform adherent PCL-gelatin coating on the surface of 316Lss via utilizing dip coating method. • The adhesion results show that the PCL-gelatin composite coating has a convenient adhesion to the metallic substrate. |
