Gluteus medius activity during gait is altered in individuals with chronic ankle instability: An ultrasound imaging study

• Ultrasound detected hip muscle differences in CAI compared to healthy groups. • Decreased CAI gluteus medius activity was seen during stance phases of gait. • Gluteus medius alterations were noted bilaterally in the CAI group.
