Characterizing emission rates of regulated and unregulated pollutants from two ultra-low NOx CNG heavy-duty vehicles
• Near-zero NOx emissions natural gas engines will result to 90%+ reductions compared to 2010 standard. • Cold-start shows little influence to NOx emissions. • Natural gas engines show a significant fraction of sub 23 nm particles in the tailpipe. • CO emissions are generally high for stoichiometric...

Characterizing emission rates of regulated and unregulated pollutants from two ultra-low NOx CNG heavy-duty vehicles |
abstract |
• Near-zero NOx emissions natural gas engines will result to 90%+ reductions compared to 2010 standard. • Cold-start shows little influence to NOx emissions. • Natural gas engines show a significant fraction of sub 23 nm particles in the tailpipe. • CO emissions are generally high for stoichiometric engines and dependent on cold-start. • Elevated CH4 emissions during transient operation. |
