A comparison study of three fluxing agents in promoting properties and environmental safety of bricks incorporating hazardous waste
The incorporation of hazardous solid waste in fired bricks fabrication is a viable way. However, the physical and mechanical properties of products were negatively influenced due to the involvement of hazardous solid waste. Three fluxing agents, waste glass powder (WGP), Na-feldspar and K-feldspar,...

A comparison study of three fluxing agents in promoting properties and environmental safety of bricks incorporating hazardous waste |
abstract |
The incorporation of hazardous solid waste in fired bricks fabrication is a viable way. However, the physical and mechanical properties of products were negatively influenced due to the involvement of hazardous solid waste. Three fluxing agents, waste glass powder (WGP), Na-feldspar and K-feldspar, were introduced in this study to eliminate these negative influences. Physical and mechanical properties were tested by standard method. Microstructure and pore structure of bricks were conducted by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and nitrogen adsorption and desorption isotherm. |

Microstructure and pore structure of bricks were conducted by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and nitrogen adsorption and desorption isotherm.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Fired brick</subfield><subfield code="2">Elsevier</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Leaching toxicity</subfield><subfield code="2">Elsevier</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Hazardous waste</subfield><subfield code="2">Elsevier</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Fluxing agents</subfield><subfield code="2">Elsevier</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Feldspar</subfield><subfield code="2">Elsevier</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Zeng, Man</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Peng, Mingguo</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Hu, Linchao</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Zhang, Wenyi</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="773" ind1="0" ind2="8"><subfield code="i">Enthalten in</subfield><subfield code="n">Elsevier Science</subfield><subfield code="a">Rajendiran, Rajmohan ELSEVIER</subfield><subfield code="t">Self-assembled 3D hierarchical MnCO</subfield><subfield code="d">2020</subfield><subfield code="g">Amsterdam [u.a.]</subfield><subfield code="w">(DE-627)ELV003750353</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="773" ind1="1" ind2="8"><subfield code="g">volume:292</subfield><subfield code="g">year:2021</subfield><subfield code="g">day:10</subfield><subfield code="g">month:04</subfield><subfield code="g">pages:0</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="856" ind1="4" ind2="0"><subfield code="u">https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jclepro.2021.126086</subfield><subfield code="3">Volltext</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">GBV_USEFLAG_U</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">GBV_ELV</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">SYSFLAG_U</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="936" ind1="b" ind2="k"><subfield code="a">35.18</subfield><subfield code="j">Kolloidchemie</subfield><subfield code="j">Grenzflächenchemie</subfield><subfield code="q">VZ</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="951" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">AR</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="952" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="d">292</subfield><subfield code="j">2021</subfield><subfield code="b">10</subfield><subfield code="c">0410</subfield><subfield code="h">0</subfield></datafield></record></collection>
