• Weighted delta-tracking method is proposed as an improvement of standard delta-tracking. • An effective and flexible improved tracking method, hybrid-tracking method, is proposed which overcomes the shortcomings of the classical ray-tracing and delta-tracking techniques. • Hybrid-tracking is used to improve the calculation efficiency in complex geometries. • Hybrid-tracking is implemented in the Target Motion Sample (TMS) method to efficiently achieve the on-the-fly cross-section temperature treatment in the cases with multiple materials. |
