Judd-Ofelt analysis of Ho3+-doped CaYAlO4 single crystal
The polarized absorption, emission spectra of Ho3+ doped CaYAlO4 have been performed at room temperature. Based on the Judd-Ofelt theory, the detailed spectroscopic parameters, radiative transition probabilities, radiative lifetimes and branching ratios were obtained. It is found that the luminescen...

Judd-Ofelt analysis of Ho3+-doped CaYAlO4 single crystal |
abstract |
The polarized absorption, emission spectra of Ho3+ doped CaYAlO4 have been performed at room temperature. Based on the Judd-Ofelt theory, the detailed spectroscopic parameters, radiative transition probabilities, radiative lifetimes and branching ratios were obtained. It is found that the luminescence spectra excited by 454 nm pumping are dominated by an intense green emission 550 nm in the visible wavelength region which associates with the transition 5F4,5S2→5I8. The stimulated emission cross-section for this transition was estimated. The fluorescence decay curve was also measured and the quantum efficiency was calculated. |
