Inclusion of the recoil shift in Doppler-broadened measurements of CO2 transition frequencies
• We identified and implemented a rarely applied recoil-shift correction of approximately 1.7 kHz to 44 previously reported frequencies and spectroscopic constants for lines in the (30012) ← (00001) and (30013) ← (00001) bands of 12C16O2. • We performed a global fit of an effective Hamiltonian to th...

inclusion of the recoil shift in doppler-broadened measurements of co2 transition frequencies |

Inclusion of the recoil shift in Doppler-broadened measurements of CO2 transition frequencies |
abstract |
• We identified and implemented a rarely applied recoil-shift correction of approximately 1.7 kHz to 44 previously reported frequencies and spectroscopic constants for lines in the (30012) ← (00001) and (30013) ← (00001) bands of 12C16O2. • We performed a global fit of an effective Hamiltonian to the corrected data and literature values to yield spectroscopic parameters for the four involved states. This analysis provided best-case rms fit residuals of 4 kHz for the (30013) ← (00001) band. • The high accuracy of these transition frequency measurements makes these results suitable as SI-traceable reference data. |
