• The double perovskites Gd2CoMn1- x Ti x O6 are successfully synthesized by a traditional solid-state reaction method. • The possible magnetic interactions in Gd2CoMn1- x Ti x O6 are analyzed. • The magnetic phase transition in Gd2CoMn1- x Ti x O6 can be tuned effectively by Ti substitution. • The MCE of Gd2CoMn1- x Ti x O6 is enhanced significantly from 16.64 J∙kg−1∙K−1 at × = 0 to 27.16 J∙kg−1∙K−1 at × = 1.0. |
