Interactions between oxygen, hydrogen and supported rhodium over a wide temperature range - I. Oxygen and Hydrogen adsorption |
abstract |
Interactions of oxygen and hydrogen with the surface of rhodium-alumina catalysts within the temperature range -80 to 700^o were examined by pulse gas chromatography. Oxygen and hydrogen chemisorptions were carried out on ''clean'' rhodium surfaces and titrations of the oxidized surface with hydrogen were performed together with those of the inverse reaction, i.e., titration of the reduced surface with oxygen,In site of many probelms which are discussed, the results of oxygen and hydrogen chemisorption at ambient temperature can be used for the determination of the surface area of rhodium. It was found that above 200^o oxygen considerably penetrated the rhodium lattice forming stable suboxides, and above 500^o the product of oxidation was rhodium(III) oxide (Rh"2O"3). |

It was found that above 200^o oxygen considerably penetrated the rhodium lattice forming stable suboxides, and above 500^o the product of oxidation was rhodium(III) oxide (Rh"2O"3).</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="533" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="f">Elsevier Journal Backfiles on ScienceDirect 1907 - 2002</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Paryjczak, T.</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Jozwiak, W.K.</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Goralski, J.</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="773" ind1="0" ind2="8"><subfield code="i">in</subfield><subfield code="t">Journal of Chromatography A</subfield><subfield code="d">Amsterdam : Elsevier</subfield><subfield code="g">166(1978), 1, Seite 65-74</subfield><subfield code="w">(DE-627)NLEJ17403282X</subfield><subfield code="w">(DE-600)1491247-8</subfield><subfield code="x">0021-9673</subfield><subfield code="7">nnns</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="773" ind1="1" ind2="8"><subfield code="g">volume:166</subfield><subfield code="g">year:1978</subfield><subfield code="g">number:1</subfield><subfield code="g">pages:65-74</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="856" ind1="4" ind2="0"><subfield code="u">http://linkinghub.elsevier.com/retrieve/pii/S0021-9673(00)92250-7</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">GBV_USEFLAG_H</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">ZDB-1-SDJ</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">GBV_NL_ARTICLE</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="951" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">AR</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="952" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="d">166</subfield><subfield code="j">1978</subfield><subfield code="e">1</subfield><subfield code="h">65-74</subfield></datafield></record></collection>
