On the nature of the muon complex in condensed oxygen
Muon precession parameters in liquid oxygen as well as α-, β- and γ-phases of crystalline oxygen have been measured in the temperature range 10-90 K. It was found that the muon polarization P=1 in liquid O"2, γ-O"2 and β-O"2. The local field at the muon site has been measured in the a...

abstract |
Muon precession parameters in liquid oxygen as well as α-, β- and γ-phases of crystalline oxygen have been measured in the temperature range 10-90 K. It was found that the muon polarization P=1 in liquid O"2, γ-O"2 and β-O"2. The local field at the muon site has been measured in the antiferromagnetic α-phase of oxygen (B"0=1.2 kG). The analysis of the data obtained shows that about 40% of the muons in oxygen form a paramagnetic complex (presumably MuO"2 or O"2Mu^+) and about 60% of them form a diamagnetic compound. |

It was found that the muon polarization P=1 in liquid O"2, γ-O"2 and β-O"2. The local field at the muon site has been measured in the antiferromagnetic α-phase of oxygen (B"0=1.2 kG). The analysis of the data obtained shows that about 40% of the muons in oxygen form a paramagnetic complex (presumably MuO"2 or O"2Mu^+) and about 60% of them form a diamagnetic compound.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="533" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="f">Elsevier Journal Backfiles on ScienceDirect 1907 - 2002</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Storchak, V.G.</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Kirillov, B.F.</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Pirogov, A.V.</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Duginov, V.N.</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Grebinnik, V.G.</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Lazarev, A.B.</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Ol'shevsky, V.G.</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Pomyakushin, V.Y.</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Shilov, S.N.</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Zhukov, V.A.</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="773" ind1="0" ind2="8"><subfield code="i">in</subfield><subfield code="t">Physics Letters A</subfield><subfield code="d">Amsterdam : Elsevier</subfield><subfield code="g">166(1992), 5-6, Seite 429-432</subfield><subfield code="w">(DE-627)NLEJ17685651X</subfield><subfield code="w">(DE-600)1466603-0</subfield><subfield code="x">0375-9601</subfield><subfield code="7">nnns</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="773" ind1="1" ind2="8"><subfield code="g">volume:166</subfield><subfield code="g">year:1992</subfield><subfield code="g">number:5-6</subfield><subfield code="g">pages:429-432</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="856" ind1="4" ind2="0"><subfield code="u">http://linkinghub.elsevier.com/retrieve/pii/0375-9601(92)90737-7</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">GBV_USEFLAG_H</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">ZDB-1-SDJ</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">GBV_NL_ARTICLE</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="951" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">AR</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="952" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="d">166</subfield><subfield code="j">1992</subfield><subfield code="e">5-6</subfield><subfield code="h">429-432</subfield></datafield></record></collection>
