The Dubna double-arm time-of-flight spectrometer for heavy-ion reaction products
The double-arm time-of-flight spectrometer DEMAS designed for the detection and identification of heavy-ion reaction products at incident energies below 10 McV/amu is presented. Based on the kinematic coincidence method, the relevant physical information is obtained from the measurement of the two c...

The Dubna double-arm time-of-flight spectrometer for heavy-ion reaction products |
abstract |
The double-arm time-of-flight spectrometer DEMAS designed for the detection and identification of heavy-ion reaction products at incident energies below 10 McV/amu is presented. Based on the kinematic coincidence method, the relevant physical information is obtained from the measurement of the two correlated velocity vectors of the binary fragments. Construction and performance of the different detector systems applied to measure the time-of-flight values, the position coordinates and the kinetic energies of both fragments are described in detail. The description of the data acquisition and analysing procedures is followed by a discussion of some experimental examples to demonstrate the spectrometer performance. A mass resolution of typically 4-5 amu (fwhm) is routinely achieved. |

A mass resolution of typically 4-5 amu (fwhm) is routinely achieved.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="533" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="f">Elsevier Journal Backfiles on ScienceDirect 1907 - 2002</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Schilling, K.D.</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Gippner, P.</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Seidel, W.</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Stary, F.</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Will, E.</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Heidel, K.</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Lukyanov, S.M.</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Penionzhkevich, Y.E.</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Salamatin, V.S.</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Sodan, H.</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Chubarian, G.G.</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="773" ind1="0" ind2="8"><subfield code="i">in</subfield><subfield code="t">Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section A:</subfield><subfield code="d">Amsterdam : Elsevier</subfield><subfield code="g">257(1987), 2, Seite 197-208</subfield><subfield code="w">(DE-627)NLEJ180854372</subfield><subfield code="w">(DE-600)1466532-3</subfield><subfield code="x">0168-9002</subfield><subfield code="7">nnns</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="773" ind1="1" ind2="8"><subfield code="g">volume:257</subfield><subfield code="g">year:1987</subfield><subfield code="g">number:2</subfield><subfield code="g">pages:197-208</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="856" ind1="4" ind2="0"><subfield code="u">http://linkinghub.elsevier.com/retrieve/pii/0168-9002(87)90739-X</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">GBV_USEFLAG_H</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">ZDB-1-SDJ</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">GBV_NL_ARTICLE</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="951" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">AR</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="952" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="d">257</subfield><subfield code="j">1987</subfield><subfield code="e">2</subfield><subfield code="h">197-208</subfield></datafield></record></collection>
