High-energy electron scattering from ^6Li and ^1^2C
We have measured the spectra of electrons scattered from ^6Li and ^1^2C for invariant masses of the hadronic system W 1.5 GeV and four momentum transfers in the range 5 fm^-^2 q^2 12 fm^-^2. We compared the shape of the spectra with different nuclear models. The Fermigas model of the nucleus cann...

High-energy electron scattering from ^6Li and ^1^2C |
abstract |
We have measured the spectra of electrons scattered from ^6Li and ^1^2C for invariant masses of the hadronic system W 1.5 GeV and four momentum transfers in the range 5 fm^-^2 q^2 12 fm^-^2. We compared the shape of the spectra with different nuclear models. The Fermigas model of the nucleus cannot reproduce the data. A shell model with short-range correlations fits the data with a correlation parameter q"c ~ 250 MeV/c. From the absolute cross section the effective number of nucleons was derived for quasi-elastic scattering and found to be compatible with A, whereas the effective number of nucleons derived for the excitation of the Δ(1236) resonance was found to be 0.6 A. |

We compared the shape of the spectra with different nuclear models. The Fermigas model of the nucleus cannot reproduce the data. A shell model with short-range correlations fits the data with a correlation parameter q"c ~ 250 MeV/c. From the absolute cross section the effective number of nucleons was derived for quasi-elastic scattering and found to be compatible with A, whereas the effective number of nucleons derived for the excitation of the Δ(1236) resonance was found to be 0.6 A.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="533" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="f">Elsevier Journal Backfiles on ScienceDirect 1907 - 2002</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Heimlich, F.H.</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Kobberling, M.</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Moritz, J.</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Schmidt, K.H.</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Wegener, D.</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Zeller, D.</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Bienlein, J.K.</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Bleckwenn, J.</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Dinter, H.</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="773" ind1="0" ind2="8"><subfield code="i">in</subfield><subfield code="t">Nuclear Physics, Section A</subfield><subfield code="d">Amsterdam : Elsevier</subfield><subfield code="g">231(1974), 3, Seite 509-520</subfield><subfield code="w">(DE-627)NLEJ177217928</subfield><subfield code="w">(DE-600)1466542-6</subfield><subfield code="x">0375-9474</subfield><subfield code="7">nnns</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="773" ind1="1" ind2="8"><subfield code="g">volume:231</subfield><subfield code="g">year:1974</subfield><subfield code="g">number:3</subfield><subfield code="g">pages:509-520</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="856" ind1="4" ind2="0"><subfield code="u">http://linkinghub.elsevier.com/retrieve/pii/0375-9474(74)90514-4</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">GBV_USEFLAG_H</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">ZDB-1-SDJ</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">GBV_NL_ARTICLE</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="951" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">AR</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="952" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="d">231</subfield><subfield code="j">1974</subfield><subfield code="e">3</subfield><subfield code="h">509-520</subfield></datafield></record></collection>
