The decay of ^2^5^1Cf
The α-particle and γ-ray single channel and coincidence spectra of ^2^5^1Cf have been obtained using Si(Au), Ge(Li) and NaI(Tl) detectors. A total of 14 groups was identified with α-particle energies (in MeV) and absolute intensities (in %): 6.067(2.7), 6.007(12.3), 5.932(0.5), 5.844(27.8), 5.808(4....

abstract |
The α-particle and γ-ray single channel and coincidence spectra of ^2^5^1Cf have been obtained using Si(Au), Ge(Li) and NaI(Tl) detectors. A total of 14 groups was identified with α-particle energies (in MeV) and absolute intensities (in %): 6.067(2.7), 6.007(12.3), 5.932(0.5), 5.844(27.8), 5.808(4.1), 5.792(2.8), 5.757(3.9), 5.721(1.1), 5.667(34.7), 5.640(2.8), 5.625(4.8), 5.595(0.5), 5.559(1.8) and 5.496(0.3). At least three rotational bands based upon single-particle levels at 0,227 and 407 keV excitation energy were identified. The half-life of the 227 keV state was measured to be 25 μsec. |
