High-Voltage Screening of Unidirectionally Surface-Ground Titania Ceramics
The effects of high-voltage screening were examined for perpendicularly and parallelly surface-ground titania rectangular bars. A screening field at or below which 30% of titania samples break electrically was applied to each group samples. After high-voltage screening, the surviving samples were su...

High-Voltage Screening of Unidirectionally Surface-Ground Titania Ceramics |
abstract |
The effects of high-voltage screening were examined for perpendicularly and parallelly surface-ground titania rectangular bars. A screening field at or below which 30% of titania samples break electrically was applied to each group samples. After high-voltage screening, the surviving samples were subjected to mechanical strength measurement and the resultant strength distribution was compared with the original distribution. After screening, Weibull plots of perpendicularly ground samples bent to become convex curves while plots in the high-strength region remained almost the same, indicating that low-strength samples were selectively eliminated by the high-voltage screening. On the other hand, the screening effect on parallelly surface-ground samples was very small. |

A screening field at or below which 30% of titania samples break electrically was applied to each group samples. After high-voltage screening, the surviving samples were subjected to mechanical strength measurement and the resultant strength distribution was compared with the original distribution. After screening, Weibull plots of perpendicularly ground samples bent to become convex curves while plots in the high-strength region remained almost the same, indicating that low-strength samples were selectively eliminated by the high-voltage screening. On the other hand, the screening effect on parallelly surface-ground samples was very small.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="533" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="d">2004</subfield><subfield code="f">Blackwell Publishing Journal Backfiles 1879-2005</subfield><subfield code="7">|2004||||||||||</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">titanium oxide</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Tanaka, Tomohiro</subfield><subfield code="e">verfasserin</subfield><subfield code="4">aut</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="773" ind1="0" ind2="8"><subfield code="i">In</subfield><subfield code="a">American Ceramic Society ; GKD-ID: 6113X</subfield><subfield code="t">Journal of the American Ceramic Society</subfield><subfield code="d">Oxford [u.a.] : Wiley-Blackwell, 1918</subfield><subfield code="g">83(2000), 6, Seite 0</subfield><subfield code="h">Online-Ressource</subfield><subfield code="w">(DE-627)NLEJ243927835</subfield><subfield code="w">(DE-600)2008170-4</subfield><subfield code="x">1551-2916</subfield><subfield code="7">nnns</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="773" ind1="1" ind2="8"><subfield code="g">volume:83</subfield><subfield code="g">year:2000</subfield><subfield code="g">number:6</subfield><subfield code="g">pages:0</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="856" ind1="4" ind2="0"><subfield code="u">http://dx.doi.org/10.1111/j.1151-2916.2000.tb01403.x</subfield><subfield code="q">text/html</subfield><subfield code="x">Verlag</subfield><subfield code="z">Deutschlandweit zugänglich</subfield><subfield code="3">Volltext</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">GBV_USEFLAG_U</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">ZDB-1-DJB</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">GBV_NL_ARTICLE</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="951" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">AR</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="952" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="d">83</subfield><subfield code="j">2000</subfield><subfield code="e">6</subfield><subfield code="h">0</subfield></datafield></record></collection>
