γ-γ Directional Correlations in the Decay of Sb125. II
Using a proportional counter to resolve the 35.5-keV γ ray from Te x rays, the following directional correlations have been measured: (601 + 606) -35.5 A2=-0.060±0.020, 427-35.5 A2=0.230±0.030, and 636-35.5 A2=-0.065±0.030. The first correlation is consistent with L-subshell measurements that gave |...

γ-γ Directional Correlations in the Decay of Sb125. II |
abstract |
Using a proportional counter to resolve the 35.5-keV γ ray from Te x rays, the following directional correlations have been measured: (601 + 606) -35.5 A2=-0.060±0.020, 427-35.5 A2=0.230±0.030, and 636-35.5 A2=-0.065±0.030. The first correlation is consistent with L-subshell measurements that gave |f(35.5)|≤0.03, where f=δ(1+δ2)12 with δ defined according to Rose and Brink. Taking cognizance of other work also, the best mixing-parameter values that we may assign now are f(427)≈0.4 and f(636)≈-0.3 but the results may be influenced by reorientation while in the 35.5-keV level, and additional experiments to investigate this possibility are underway. |
