Efficient Synthesis of [alpha]-Aminophosphonates and Evaluation of Significance of P=O Group towards Antioxidant Activity
A simple, efficient, and solvent-free synthesis of α-aminophosphonates has been accomplished from an amine, aromatic/ heterocyclic aldehydes, and diethyl phosphite using trifluoromethanesulfonic acid (TfOH) as a catalyst under solvent-free conditions at ambient temperature. These products were chara...

Efficient Synthesis of [alpha]-Aminophosphonates and Evaluation of Significance of P=O Group towards Antioxidant Activity |
abstract |
A simple, efficient, and solvent-free synthesis of α-aminophosphonates has been accomplished from an amine, aromatic/ heterocyclic aldehydes, and diethyl phosphite using trifluoromethanesulfonic acid (TfOH) as a catalyst under solvent-free conditions at ambient temperature. These products were characterized by spectral and analytical data. the products 4a-j were tested for their antioxidant properties by nitric oxide, DPPH and H2O2 methods. Compounds 4a, 4b, 4c, 4e, and 4f exhibited significant antioxidant property in all the three methods at 100 μM concentration. |
