Recycling for enhancing the selectivity of reversible parallel chemical reactions
Abstract Recycling of the reactant and by-product provides means to attain high conversion and selectivity, as is demonstrated for reversible parallel reactions such that the by-product is the only intermediate-boiling component of the reaction mixture. Analytical expressions have been obtained for...

Recycling for enhancing the selectivity of reversible parallel chemical reactions |
abstract |
Abstract Recycling of the reactant and by-product provides means to attain high conversion and selectivity, as is demonstrated for reversible parallel reactions such that the by-product is the only intermediate-boiling component of the reaction mixture. Analytical expressions have been obtained for the conversion and selectivity as a function of the recycle flow rate. The theoretical results have been verified by numerical simulation. © Pleiades Publishing, Ltd. 2012 |
